11/24/2009—If you want to know whether a technology has a future, it’s always wise to follow the money. When private equity buys into something, it’s considered a vote of confidence. Last week forklift-mounted radio frequency identification (RFID) received that nod when Pharos Capital Group, LLC of Nashville and Dallas acquired Rush Tracking Systems, an RFID business process consulting and systems integration company.
11/17/2009—Toby Rush didn't think his company would be a fit for private equity even after an early summer cold call from Pharos Capital Group. But after some persistent follow-up calls and explanation of Pharos's growth equity model, Rush found himself selling his business, Rush Tracking Systems, to the firm.
