Toby Rush Toby Rush co-founded Rush Tracking Systems and serves as President and CEO. Rush Tracking Systems has a proven track record working with Fortune 100 client organizations to deliver best-in-class RFID solutions that help optimize operations.
Rush has achieved national recognition as an expert in mobile and wireless technologies, with extensive experience delivering mobile enterprise solutions in challenging and dynamic environments. He has presented extensively on RFID and mobility in the enterprise at key industry conferences.
Rush was recently named as a founding board member for the Software and Information Technology Association of Kansas (SITAKS). In 2006, he was selected as one of the top ten entrepreneurs for the inaugural class of the KTEC Pipeline program, a state-funded program to cultivate new business startups. He was also named as a finalist for Ernst & Young’s 2007 Entrepreneur of the Year.
Rush has served as an Advisory Board member for the University of Kansas Information and Telecommunications Technology Center, Membership Chair for Entrepreneurs Exchange 2, and coordinator and facilitator for the Kansas Student Leadership Forum.
Previously, Rush served as Director of Product Development and Product Manager for SAT Corporation, a venture-backed software firm whose workflow automation technology leveraging RFID and mobile computing technologies have been implemented by the world’s largest integrated oil/energy companies.
While working as a consultant at Business Solutions Inc. (BSI), Rush spearheaded the creation of a new practice group around mobile and wireless technologies, which eventually grew into its own company, MobilEdge Solutions. He was awarded BSI’s Technology Vision and Leadership Award for his work.
Rush began his career with Accenture (formerly Anderson Consulting) implementing large ERP systems, including SAP and PeopleSoft. He earned his degree in Mechanical Engineering from Kansas State University.
